Sexual Harassment Law – What Rights Do We Have?

I am trying to research sexual harassment law and I am only able to find laws that apply in a place of employment. Are there any sexual harassment laws that protect people from sexual harassment in public? For example, a man touches a woman, uninvited.

Sexual harassment is civil in nature. Being touched without your will or consent, is criminal battery. If you want to file a criminal charge, contact local law enforcement.

“Are there any sexual harassment laws that protect people from sexual harassment in public?”
Not really, no. Most of what constitutes sexual harassment in the workplace is legal in a public forum. If your boss makes comments about your breasts at work, you can require the employer to make him stop, and if they don’t then you would have grounds for a suit. If a construction worker yells “Great ###s” as you walk past, he’s a jerk – but it’s legal.

That’s a battery, and is a crime. If the unwanted touch is sexual in nature, then it’s a sexual battery, and is a felony in most jurisdictions.

If a man touches a woman uninvited in a public place it is sexual assault..not harrassment.
So yes, there is a protection for it as it is against the law, it’s just not considered harrassment.

It is called assault.
Just keep in mind that political correctness has turned harassment into a very dangerous issue. Children, woman, and minorities have all learned that they can often get whatever they want by falsely playing that card.
The man is always assumed guilty in these situations, it can cost him lots of money, ruin his life, and it happens EVERY DAY.
I expect to get a few thumbs down” votes on this post, but that doesn’t change the truth.
